Baby Zoey

Sometimes she'll grab a tuft of hair on the left side of her head with her tiny fist. She'll then pull away without letting go and scream and scream until we can get the vice grip off. Silly baby.

She still gets the hiccups an insane amount of times during the day. They look like they hurt and sometimes will make her spit up a bit.

I love that every one of her names has a Z in it.

At 5.5 weeks she has pretty much grown out of her newborn clothes and newborn diapers.

She usually has one big blow-out poop a day, and usually saves those for when dad gets home.

She definitely has her dad's patient, laid-back personality but my rigidity (if that makes sense). She eats every 3 hours almost to the minute and drinks exactly 2 ounces of formula, on the dot.

She got a little mild case of cradle cap that is almost gone now. Who knew you needed to brush their eyebrows too? We've had to wash and brush and use a bit of baby oil to clear it up.

We've started to use some gas drops and that seems to help her tummy. She screams when she has bubble, gas or has to poop.

She loves to be snuggled on your chest. She's such a little oven and so snuggly it puts me to sleep too.

She's started to stack her feedings and eat a little bit more and more frequently before bedtime and has started to sleep closer to 4 hours. Heaven!

She is starting to track and respond to voices. She stays awake more and I feel like is days away from smiling (really smiling) at people. I'm REALLY excited for that.

She's so adorable! And nothing is better than sleeping with your precious newborn on your chest.
