Bully

My stubborn-as-a-bulldog Bulldog has recently become very possessive of the couch. Which is totally normal but not acceptable in our household. We want her to only come on the couch when she's invited on the couch.

Our dog trainer instructed us to get the plastic floor mats with the pokes and put it poky side up on the couch to discourage her. It doesn't hurt her, just makes it really uncomfortable. As you can see by the pictures, it worked really well. She IS bullheaded! LOL We may have to resort to a Scat Mat or something, who knows. She's too smart for her own good!

Speaking of that, she now does sit, shake, look, stay, kiss and down. Down was a hard one to learn since dogs don't like to be down because they're in a submissive state. The first few times, Dallin had to about tackle her to get her down and I thought she'd never learn it, but she did! We were so proud. I think next up, we'll teach her roll over. She will do anything for treats...
