Margaret "Maggie" Plaizier passed away peacefully on Monday, June 3, 2013. She was born on September 29, 2010. She was adopted by her loving parents, Dallin and Amy Plaizier, on January 29, 2011. Maggie was dealt a harder deck than most, suffering from many ailments, including epilepsy and bad ACLs amongst many other issues.
Maggie didn't meet a treat or a person she didn't love. She was loved by all in return. She was always popular among children and was the "favorite" at the vet's office. She handled all of her trials with patience and dignity. She never once complained. After her passing her doctor lamented that he had never poked or prodded a dog more than Maggie and never once did she whine. He wished she would have snipped at him at least once.
Maggie was the epitome of "man's best friend." As we cried tears of sadness, her only concern was to kiss them away and make us feel better. She got us through some of the roughest times we faced, namely infertility. We firmly believe she was meant to come to us for that purpose and in the birth of our daughter, her mission on Earth was complete.
While we wished it wasn't so, no amount of money or medication could get her seizures under control and she increasingly limped heavily on her bad knees and is now free of her physical pain. We have faith we will see her again, running in the meadows of heaven.
A special thanks to Bayview Animal Hospital, namely Dr. Cade Norman and Dr. Nancy Summers, Marlo, Missy, Ryan and Crystal. A private family memorial will hopefully be this weekend with the spreading of her ashes.
"Goodnight Maggie, be a good pup. I love you."
