Funny Kid

I haven't posted much about my baby girl lately.  She's about to hit 18 months and has started testing out nursery.  My heart breaks a little to see her sitting at the table in a little chair eating snacks with the big kids.  I can't believe my daughter is as old as the sweet little kids we taught in nursery for 4 years!

Zoey's personality is seriously so funny and adorable.  She's my most favorite kid ever.  She goes over to electrical outlets, or the stairs or whatever she knows she's not supposed to be into and goes, "Mo, Mo, Mo" which means "no, no, no."

She laughs so easily and also loves to make people laugh.  She does this high-kick thing when she walks around and likes to "scare" people.  She still LOVES singing and dancing.  We have to constantly sing to her - in the car, while she's eating, to fall asleep, etc.  We are starting to get really creative with songs and her favorite right now is probably John-Jacob Jingleheimerschmidt.  She's going to be ready for Girl's Camp when the time comes!

She is "well-loved," aka SPOILED.  Sometimes it's really annoying that I have the bratty kid but I'm not quite sure what to do about it so I just do the best I can. She's always the one protesting what songs are sung during singing time and definitely has an opinion on everything.  Being strong-willed isn't necessarily a bad thing nowadays.  She's become increasingly picky with food and, no lie, eats dill pickles for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Yes, dill pickles.  She also loves strawberries, bananas, broccoli (seriously, I don't know where this kid gets this), Veggie Straws, Rice Chex, chicken nuggets, french fries and pizza.

She pretty much understands everything we tell her.  She's very good at ignoring us when she doesn't want to hear what we have to say.  Also, I have no idea how such a big voice comes out of such a little body.  The volume on her is unreal.  She's also quite the "girl" and has this high-pitched scream/squeal that she randomly does that is especially great during Sacrament Meeting.

Zoey has increased her animal repertoire and does almost all animal sounds.  She also says bubble, temple, apple, ball (all these words sound very, very similar), pah-poh (popcorn), nana (banana), money, mmm-mm (strawberries),  wela (abuela), papa (grandpa), mama (grandma and mom), mayme (Amy), eh-mo (Elmo), baby and Becky (which also sound almost the same).

Sleeping is still hit and miss.  She's teething again (2 eyeteeth on the bottom are through - we're up to 14!) so she wakes up during the night.  She still won't sleep anywhere but in my arms during her naps.  She has started liking her arm rubbed when she goes to sleep.   She seems to be getting interested in potty training.  She will hide to do #2 and will go and sit on the bathroom floor and do her business in her diaper.  I'm starting to think it might be time but I want to wait until after we move since that could screw stuff up.

Anyway, that's an update on our Zo-Zo Bean.  She's not a baby anymore, she's definitely a little girl now and we love her to pieces!
